Santa Barbara City Council Forum

Candidates running for city council met to answer questions and speak of future changes they want to see during the Santa Barbara City Council Candidates Forum Thursday.
All eight candidates were in appearance. Hot topics were the increase of gang violence among youth, environmental health and future developments.
They shared the same concern for gang prevention and preserving Santa Barbara county by putting a cap on massive developments.
However, opinions were different on how to tackle gang violence and solve traffic issues.
The eight candidates running for the three available seats of city council are Brian Barwell, Dale Francisco, Michelle Giddens, Robert Hansen, Frank Hotchkiss, Daniel Litten, Helene Schneider and Das Williams.
