VENTURA, Calif. - Ventura County residents had a chance to check out a new $305 million dollar wing at Ventura County Medical Center on Friday.
Although it doesn't officials open until July, student nurses show visitors around.
The north tower wing off Hillmont Ave. includes pediatric intensive care, and robotic surgery equipment.
CEO Kim Milstien said, "The beauty of the outside of this hospital matches the beauty of the care that has been provided here for many years."
It helps future nurses get out in the community.
"It is really nice to just get a feel of what is yet to come," said training nurse Diana Xicotencati from California State University, Channel Islands.
Visitors were also treated to deserts and live music at the new entrance.
