CAMARILLO, Calif. - The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention held it's annual Ventura County Out of the Darkness Community Walk on Saturday at Constitution Park in Camarillo.
Organizers said their goal is to raise awareness and funding for suicide prevention efforts.
Some of the people who took part have lost loved ones or survived suicide attempts.
More than 700 people registered to walk.
They also listened to speakers talk about struggles and ways to help people dealing with suicidal thoughts.
There is a 24/7 crisis phone line and other resources.
