Sure the San Marcos football team was excited winning its home opener, but the Royals are back to work and looking for a second consecutive win.

The Royals beat Hueneme this past Friday on the first-ever game played on the new playing surface at Warkentin Stadium, which started with a 94-yard touchdown run by Andrew Thayer on the opening kickoff.

Despite the victory, the Royals are looking past its first win and expect a second when San Marcos will host Capistrano Valley.
