Event Description

Cognitive Fitness & Innovative Therapies (CFIT) will host its first annual event, "BrainCare for Life: A Community Initiative Gala." The event, hosted by Mr. Santa Barbara himself, Larry Crandell, will include remarks from UCSB Chancellor Henry T. Yang, Cottage Hospital President & CEO Ron Werft and Mayor Helene Schneider. There will be an incredible array of art, music, wine and food, as well as a silent auction to raise funds to support the center's scholarship program, which provides assistance to those who cannot afford the costs of the program and who are in great need.
CFIT, a first-in-the-nation center based in Santa Barbara, is working toward preventing or slowing down the onset of Alzheimer's disease and other forms of cognitive decline. Headed by world-renowned neurologist, Kenneth S. Kosik, MD, CFIT offers a novel, integrated approach through which clients have access to a broad range of services, based in an information rich environment,to maintain life-long brain health.
