Coleen Sullivan serves as weekend anchor and general assignment reporter here at KEY News. Coleen has been a broadcast journalist for over eight years. Her career began in California's North Coast area of Eureka. At KVIQ she reported extensively on the logging industry and environmental issues. She then moved south to the dessert of Palm Springs. KESQ is where she was the morning and noon anchor as well as a general assignment reporter.

When the Mid-West called, Coleen jumped at the opportunity to experience another part of the country. She took a position as the main evening anchor in Dayton, Ohio at WDTN. In Ohio she was introduced to severe weather right away, in fact her first live shot was from the scene of an F4 tornado. She also went to New Orleans to cover Hurricane Katrina humanitarian efforts.

In her nearly five years in Ohio, one experience really stands out...she was invited to go on a ride in an F-16 with the Air Force Thunderbirds -- she went 9G's and would do again!

She is a Californian through-and-through...you can bet you will see her exploring everything Santa Barbara has to offer: from the farmer's markets to the wine country, she is very excited to be back in her home state!

Coleen served on the board of the Dayton Humane Society; she volunteered with fundraisers and helped promote animal welfare.

She was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area and earned her bachelors degree from San Francisco State University.
