POSTED: 07:22 PM PST Dec 16, 2013    UPDATED: 09:39 AM PST Jan 13, 2014

Christian joined the KCOY Central Coast News team in September of 2012 as a general assignment reporter.

Prior to his move to the Central Coast, Christian was a radio play-by-play voice for Long Beach State athletics. He began calling games in 2008 for Long Beach State baseball, men and women’s volleyball, and women’s basketball.

During his time working at Long Beach State, Christian was also reporting news and sports around Orange County for Garden Grove Channel 3. He'd also travel to Angel Stadium or the Honda Center, depending on the time of year, to work with the entertainment production team for the Angels and Anaheim Ducks.

Christian graduated from Chapman University in Orange, California in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism and a minor in economics. At Chapman, Christian was a reporter/anchor for Chapman News.

Born and raised in San Dimas, California, Christian found his love for broadcast journalism at an early age. When he was 15 years old, Christian teamed up with a close friend to write, produce, and co-host their very own baseball talk show, simply titled Baseball Talk. The 30-minute show was taped once a week at a local public-access studio. Nearly 4 years and 146 shows later, Christian’s goal evolved to becoming a professional broadcaster.
