Voters across the country go to the polls on Election Day 2012.
Ten voters in the tiny village of Dixville Notch, N.H., cast the first Election Day votes of the 2012 general elections. President Barack Obama and GOP nominee Mitt Romney tied with five votes each. The town has opened its polls shortly after midnight each Election Day since 1960, but the tie was the first in its history.
